President’s Message

 

As the 2023-2024 ASCE Knoxville Branch President, I want to welcome you to our website! 

At the Society level, ASCE has adopted a purpose statement: To help you matter more and enable you to make a bigger difference. During my term as president, I would like to make this purpose our new direction by strengthening connections, i.e. building bridges, between our students, younger members, senior engineers, and the community at large. In order to accomplish this we are forming executive committees on Membership, Community Outreach, Awards, and “Link” to inform and engage Branch members. If you are interested in helping out on one of these committees or have questions, suggestions, or comments please contact us at knoxvilleasce@gmail.com . We would love to have your participation and gain insight from the unique perspectives of our members.

The Branch will continue to hold regular meetings, most of them typically on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, with many allowing the opportunity for one professional development hour (PDH).
